XCIPTV not working: find your problem and fix it
Short answer
Most XCIPTV problems come from a typo in the login, an expired plan, a weak connection or an old app version. Re-type the server URL with http:// and the port, check your plan date, restart the device and router, and make sure XCIPTV is installed from an official store.
What XCIPTV shows and what to do
| What you see | Most likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Login failed / invalid credentials | Typo or missing port in the server URL | Re-type the URL with http:// and :port, then username and password |
| Login worked yesterday, fails today | Plan or trial has ended | Check the end date in your email, renew or contact us |
| Channels list loads, nothing plays | Player or network issue | Switch the player in XCIPTV settings; restart the router |
| Buffering on many channels | Weak Wi-Fi or busy network | 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet; close other streams |
| TV guide empty | EPG not downloaded yet | Refresh the EPG in XCIPTV, wait a few minutes |
| Guide times wrong | Time zone mismatch | Set the device clock to automatic; adjust the EPG offset |
| App crashes or closes | Old or modified app version | Reinstall XCIPTV from the official store |
Login errors
Type the server URL exactly as in your email: http://, the address, and the port (for example :8080). Do not add a slash at the end unless the email shows one. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. If you copy from the email on your phone, check that no space came along.
Buffering and freezing
- Test your speed on the same device: about 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K, steady.
- Move to 5 GHz Wi-Fi, or use a cable or Ethernet adapter.
- If one channel freezes, try its other quality (HD / FHD) or backup version.
- In XCIPTV, try the other built-in player: some devices handle one better.
- Watching on more screens than your plan allows can stop streams; check the number of screens in your plan.
TV guide (EPG) problems
The guide downloads separately from the channels. After the first sign-in, refresh the EPG once and give it a few minutes. If the times are off by an hour or more, set the device date and time to automatic and use XCIPTV's EPG time offset for the rest.

Questions people ask
Why does XCIPTV say my login is invalid?
Usually a typo in the server URL (missing http:// or port), a wrong capital letter in the username or password, or an expired plan.
Why does XCIPTV keep buffering?
Most often weak Wi-Fi or a busy home network. Try 5 GHz Wi-Fi or a cable, then switch the built-in player if one channel still stutters.
Why is the XCIPTV guide empty?
The EPG has not downloaded yet. Refresh it once in XCIPTV and wait a few minutes.
